Stories of The Recession

 

Thanks to all of you who submitted monologues to the contest. The Committee received a large number of submissions and were forced to eliminate a sizable number of them. The authors who will be included are listed below. Some are still being evaluated (check back on Sunday.)

Monologues that were not selected fell into 1 or more of the following 3 categories.

1- The monologue was not sufficiently related to the current recession.

2- The piece read more like an essay or memoir than a dramatic piece for the stage.

3- the topic (e.g. Health Care) or "voice" (e. g, wealthy white Northeastern female) was too similar to others submitted.
